More than 60 outfits are on display at IMB Qatar fashion show

Tribune News Network Doha The first Italian fashion institute in Qatar, Istituto di Moda Burgo Qatar (IMB Qatar), hosted a fashion show titled ‘La Tessuti Season 2’ in collaboration with Jamila Magazine at Alwadi hotel MGallery in Msheireb Downtown. The show was attended by IMB Qatar Chairman Ebrahim Akbar Al Ashar, Ambassador of Italy to Qatar HE Alessandro Prunas and well-known Qatari fashion icon and entrepreneur Amal Ameen. Many VIPs and dignitaries were present to witness the show, including Ambassador of Indonesia to Qatar HE Ridwan Hassan, representative from the Embassy of Turkey, family members of the students, famous bloggers, as well as representatives of media partners such as Jamila Magazine, Marhaba Qatar, ilovetqatar.net, Essence of Qatar, Radioolive Qatar and Qatar Tribune. The event was a massive success and more than 60 outfits designed by IMB Qatar students, including a fashion collection inspired by Qatar’s famous architecture, were on display during the catwalk session. Co-founder and Academic Head of the institute Meenu prasad exhibited her core knowledge of fashion techniques of draping used in the making haute couture clothing lines. The lead sponsors of the show included Agile Information Technology Qatar, La boutique blanche, Madi International, Goldwell, Nuxe Qatar, Verdura care Qatar, Bio oil Qatar, Afraa official, Incubate Qatar, American hospital clinics, Top Events Organization and Top Agency. Promoting sustainability in fashion, a few students of Burgo Qatar showcased their sustainable fashion collections at the event. The last segment of event featured fashion collections by partners La boutique Blanche, Afraa Official, Vghon Tassan Couture and AJ Roma. Special thanks were offered to partners of the show, including Al Huda Centre Dubai, Doha kick boxing, Monier, Jennyrtistic, Glambyafra, Italian Chamber of Commerce Qatar, Scale7, Marsa Abroad, Rejuv Skincare & spa, Doha Women Forum, Brilliant Café and Shineclicksdoha.
