The show was graced by special guest of honours led by IMB Qatar Chairman Ebrahim Akbar Al-Ashar, Italian Ambassador to Qatar HE Alessandro Prunas and famous Qatari fashion icon and entrepreneur Amal Ameen. The event was held at Alwadi Hotel Doha – MGallery in Msheireb Downtown Doha on 30 May.

Many VIP, Dignitaries were present including HE Ridwan Hassan, Ambassador of Indonesia to Qatar; representatives from the Embassy of Turkey and from media partners Jamila Magazine, Marhaba Information Guide,, Essence of Qatar, Radio Olive Qatar, and Qatar Tribune.

More than 60 outfits, including fashion collections inspired by famous architecture of Qatar glammed on the catwalk designed by Istituto Di Moda Burgo Qatar fashion students under the guidance of the institute’s professional experts.

Co-founder and academic head of IMB Qatar, Meenu Prasad flaunt the magic of her core knowledge of fashion techniques of draping, creating a learning environment for attendees and guests.

The fashion show featured an amazing visual display of the students fashion collections, created while pursuing their fashion courses at the institute. There was a special section created for best buddies – shafallah students, in honour of their sewing workshops and in appreciation of their talent.

To encourage fashion sustainability in Qatar, a number of students also showcased their ‘sustainable fashion’ collections, a tribute to Qatar Sustainability Week 2022.

The last segment of the event was a dedicated fashion show featuring fashion collections created through  internships and with supporting partners. The show concluded with the institute thanking their partners and everyone who supported the programme.
